Joining a committee is a great way to get involved with our board and it helps us out a lot! Below are some of the committees that we offer. Click below to view more. 

  • Workforce Development/Readiness - Led by Amelia Reeves. Continuously monitors and evaluates local activities addressing the broad spectrum of workforce readiness issues impacting both students and other untapped labor pools.
  • Public Relations Committee - Led by Kasey Nixon. The PR Committee provides oversight for all Big Country SHRM’s communication via social forums and social media outlets.  
  • Programs Committee - Led by Natalie Kehres. The Programs Committee provides oversight for all Big Country SHRM’s communication via social forums and social media outlets. Our goal is to provide rewarding educational and social events and programming that promote the Human Resources & Business profession. 
  • Emerging Professionals/University Committee - Led by Phil Vardiman. The Emerging Professionals/University committee works with local universities and businesses to assist current and recently graduated college students along with other young professionals in bridging the gap from student to employee
